My name is Macarena Flores. I have a degree in architecture, and due to life’s circumstances, I went from designing houses and buildings to making hats. I’ve been surrounded by them my whole life; in my family, everyone wears them—they’re a common accessory—and I love them!
I am the creative force and the one who brings each piece to life in my workshop.
I love and am fascinated by the chance to experiment, try out different fabrics, explore new techniques and, of course, create my own designs and their prototypes. It’s a constant quest that never stops, and I hope it never will.
Every piece I create is entirely handmade. I use top-quality materials and pay particular attention to detail and the finishing touches. The dyes are made by hand for both silks and feathers or other natural fibres. All headpieces, wide-brimmed hats and flowers are entirely handmade.
I’ll advise and guide you on what flatters you best.
We’ll design your headpiece, wide-brimmed hat, or whatever you decide to wear together.
We’ll choose the colors that flatter you best, the side on which to wear it, and most importantly, we’ll ensure you feel comfortable and at ease with what you’re wearing.
The workshop also produces bags lined with the fabrics you’ll be wearing that day—whether you’re looking for a complete ensemble or small accessories. If there’s enough fabric, we’ll see what we can do!
