Hats have always fascinated me – the materials you can see, those you can’t, and the way they remain something of a mystery… And the hat forms! I started out in 1985, at a time when it was far from easy to get in touch with other professionals in the sector and when our craft seemed to be fading into obscurity. But with patience and curiosity, I managed to acquire the necessary knowledge to make this my profession.
In 40 years in the profession, I have mainly produced hats for the performing arts, particularly for theatre and dance. I am a Master Milliner. I have taught for over 20 years at various art and craft schools, as well as fashion design schools, combining this with private tuition. Now retired, I remain active in promoting the craft and in teaching. I am a Master Artisan in Millinery.
Together with Cristina de Prada, in 2005 we launched the Passejada amb Barret (Hat Walk) in Barcelona, which in 2025 attracted over 2,500 participants and has served as inspiration for similar events worldwide.
The Association, of which I have been a member since 2008, is for me a vital platform for the exchange of knowledge, dedicated to achieving a high level of professionalism among its members.
