My name is Mònica Samaranch, and I am a milliner and designer at LUMON TOCADOS.
I stumbled into the world of ceremonial headpieces almost by chance in 2016, and I taught myself everything from scratch. I was immediately fascinated by the creative possibilities of this type of accessory and trained in various techniques of millinery and handmade flower-making. I studied at La Escola de la Dona in Barcelona and trained with Nina Pawlowsky, Denise Innes-Spencer, Anel Heyman and Mar Balmón, amongst others.
I love creating unique pieces that suit each person’s style. My creations range from ceremonial headpieces to the coolest fur hats of the moment. And in between, baroque crowns and all kinds of accessories with silk flowers: brooches, headbands, necklaces…
In my small workshop in Barcelona, you’ll find versatile and modern creations, with the option to transform them for more everyday use.
