Thank you for your interest in becoming a member.
The Spanish Millinery Association is currently undergoing a phase of renewal and expansion. In addition to our new visual identity, we are increasing our presence on social media and launching a new website designed to promote hat culture and give our members greater visibility.
We want our website to be the go-to resource for people passionate about this craft and for hat lovers who want to learn more or simply seek advice before purchasing a hat.
We welcome anyone interested in the world of hatmaking who wants to be part of this new chapter. For students, beginners, and hat lovers, we offer the “student friend member” option at a reduced rate.
Types of members
Professional Member
Designed for hat professionals, whether they are artisans, manufacturers, or retailers.
- Fee: €120 per year
- You can participate in professional events such as trade shows or special sales, and will receive support for their businesses through the organization’s social media channels.
- You will be able to enjoy discounts on events and courses organized by the Association.
- These members have the right to vote and speak; they are eligible to vote and to be elected.
- They will become members of the Spanish Artisans’ Organization “Oficio y Arte.”
- They will be listed, if they so wish, in the directory on the Hatsmakers’ Association website.
- The Board of Directors is responsible for approving the nomination.
Please send your CV, detailing your professional experience, your personal details and/or your brand details (first name, surname, ID number, date of birth, telephone number, postal address, email address) and your social media profiles to info@asociaciondesombrereria.es. Please include a maximum of six photographs of your work and one photograph of yourself wearing a hat.
Student/Friend Member
Designed both for students and beginners in the world of hats, as well as for hat enthusiasts.
- Fee: €60 per year
- They will have a say, but no vote, and they will NOT be eligible to vote or run for office.
- You will be able to enjoy discounts on events and courses organized by the Association.
- They may become professional members upon submission of the necessary documentation and payment of the relevant fee. (See the last point in the section on professional members)
- The Board of Directors is responsible for approving the nomination.
